Careers at Bridge McFarland
At Bridge McFarland LLP, we pride ourselves on the training and opportunities we offer our staff. We always aim to provide a safe and encouraging learning environment in which our staff can thrive and aspire to achieve their full potential.
More than half of our current qualified staff were trained within the firm, and it is very satisfying for the partners to see the development of staff over time. We don’t just “talk the talk”; we actually care, and we will do everything we can to help our employees to achieve their goals within our business.
It is very easy in law firms to end up working in the wrong area of law. You might be capable of working in a particular area, but it is extremely important that you enjoy the work you do and that it comes naturally to you. We are acutely aware that working within the legal profession can be stressful and difficult.
This stress can often be magnified if you are struggling with the role you have been given. We work closely with our staff to ensure that they are well-suited to the roles we ask them to undertake. This undoubtedly helps their wellbeing.
We constantly assess their strengths and weaknesses and help them to find the area of law that best suits their skill set and personality. There is something in the law for everyone. Not everyone wants to be arguing in a courtroom (but we’ll certainly try to accommodate those who do!).
At Bridge McFarland LLP, first and foremost, you will be treated as a person.

Life as a Trainee Cilex Paralegal at Bridge McFarland, told by Evie Shaw
My name is Evie, and I have been working at Bridge McFarland for just short of five years. My experience at Bridge McFarland started the week after I received my GCSE results. I had never considered law to be a route which I wanted to pursue; however, when I left school, an apprenticeship in business administration at Bridge McFarland came up. I applied and was successful, and here I am writing this today!
