April is Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month #limblosslimbdifference #LLLAM, a campaign led by a group of UK charities and support groups that have joined forces to raise awareness of limb loss and limb difference. Now in its 13th year, the annual Limb Loss & Limb Difference UK campaign aims to highlight the impact of living with limb loss and limb difference on individuals and their families/support networks.
You can find out more about the collaboration here.

Aim Of The Campaign
Individuals living with disabilities often face significant challenges in society, whether they are emotional or physical. Organisations that support these individuals aim to reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness while increasing self-esteem and overall wellbeing. Limb loss and limb difference can affect people of all ages and backgrounds and may occur due to birth defects, illness, or trauma. The Limb Loss & Limb Difference UK collective works with individuals facing these challenges daily, and their campaign aims to raise awareness of the struggles and triumphs of these communities.
How Can You Join In?
If you or someone you know has experienced limb loss or limb difference, or if you would like to support those who have, you can help raise awareness about their challenges and the vital work of these support groups. Visit the campaign website for more information, or follow the social media accounts of these groups to find out about events happening near you. You can use the hashtags #LLLDAM and #limblosslimbdifference throughout April to start discussions and bring attention to this important issue.

Several charitable events are scheduled throughout the month that you can get involved in or make donations to. You can learn more about the limb loss and limb difference organisations and support groups working together by visiting the following link:
