Solicitor at Bridge McFarland LLP has case named in Practical Law
Kate Knapton, an Associate Solicitor specialising in employment law at Bridge McFarland LLP, has had a case in which she successfully carried out the advocacy work name in the leading legal resource Practical Law.
The case, Campbell v Martin McColl Ltd, concerned the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 (TUPE 2006). Kate successfully appeared in this case which established the principle that passage of time will not, by itself, be sufficient to allow an employer to change terms and conditions after a TUPE transfer.
Even when it has been some time since a business transfer employers are well advised to take advice prior to making any changes to employee’s terms and conditions.
