Profile

James specialises in high value personal injury and complex industrial disease cases, often worth in excess of £1 million. His work includes cases involving brain injury, amputation, complex regional pain syndrome, paralysis, serious orthopaedic injury and significant psychological disorders such as post-traumatic stress disorder.

He also has a particular interest in asbestos related disease such as mesothelioma, asbestosis, pleural thickening and asbestos related lung cancer. He has expertise in tracing historic employers and insurers even when the exposures were many decades ago. James is a member of the Hull Incorporated Law Society.

James is Hull born and bred, and has worked in personal injury and industrial disease for over 17 years. He entered the legal profession after gaining his degree at the University of Hull and then secured a postgraduate diploma with distinction at the College of Law in York. In his spare time James enjoys spending time with his wife and young sons and has been a long suffering Hull City supporter since 1990.
