Jessica graduated from the University of Lincoln in June 2016 with a First-Class honours degree in Law. She continued her training at Nottingham Law School, earning her Masters in Legal Practice in June 2017 with a distinction.
Jessica joined the firm in June 2017 and qualified as a solicitor in October 2019. She is a dedicated and compassionate solicitor in our Childcare department. She specialises in cases involving local authorities, providing expert advice and representation to parents involved in complex care proceedings in particular concerning:
- Complex medical issues
- Non accidental injuries,
- Cases involving physical, sexual or emotion abuse and neglect
- Matters involving drug and alcohol misuse
- Where there are ongoing criminal proceedings
- Domestic abuse
Jessica’s practice includes advising clients on a wide range of matters under the Children Act 1989, including Care Orders, Supervision Orders and Special Guardianship Orders (SGOs).
With a focus on achieving fair outcomes for parents while safeguarding children’s interests, Jessica understands the emotional and legal complexities of care proceedings and ensures that parents are fully informed of their rights and options throughout each stage of their case. She is experienced in working with parents who have psychiatric, psychological or physical difficulties.
Jessica works closely with her clients, their families and other professionals providing clear and practical advice and assistance to achieve the best possible outcomes all involved.
Jessica offers a sensitive and approachable service, guiding clients through difficult and often emotional proceedings with professionalism and care. She is committed to supporting parents through one of the most challenging times of their lives.
