My name is Evie, and I have been working at Bridge McFarland for just short of five years. My experience at Bridge McFarland started the week after I received my GCSE results. I had never considered law to be a route which I wanted to pursue; however, when I left school, an apprenticeship in business administration at Bridge McFarland came up. I applied and was successful, and here I am writing this today!
My Role at Bridge McFarland
I am currently in the process of studying and working through my CILEX qualifications. CILEX wasn’t something I had ever heard of until I started here at this firm. I left school with my GCSEs but didn’t go on to study at college. I thought this was the end of my education and that I wouldn’t be able to progress any further. CILEX is a flexible career path to becoming a lawyer. It is unique in the way it allows non-graduates to gain qualifications as a lawyer and provides apprenticeships which gives students a much more affordable route.
As I continue working my way through my CILEX qualification, I am enjoying it more and more. It certainly isn’t plain sailing whilst working and studying; however, I do know that it will all be worth it. I will be able to look back and know I persevered and pushed myself to achieve my career goals.
Not only is Bridge McFarland a place where I come to work it is also a second home. I have been at the Louth office since day one, and every staff member and client has made me feel welcome and grateful to work here.

I will admit on my first day of work I felt extremely nervous. It was a brand-new environment at the age of 16 years old, however, that evening, when I left at 5pm I was already looking forward to coming back the following day. I recommend Bridge McFarland as a place to work to anyone and everyone who is reading this.
