World Mental Health Day, which takes place every October, is an international campaign aimed at raising awareness around mental health and advocating for improved mental health services, access to mental health care, and support networks for those who need them.
We realise that mental health can impact any one of us, at any time, especially in times of increased stress. In honour of this year’s campaign, which aims to highlight the importance of access to services, as emphasised by organisations such as Mind and the Mental Health Foundation, we provide some information on how we support our clients during the emotional toll of legal battles.
Support for Our Clients – Beyond Legal Advice
At Bridge McFarland, we understand that dealing with a legal dispute is rarely just about the paperwork or going to court. Whether it is dealing with a personal injury or medical negligence case, a family matter, an employment law issue, or dealing with a civil or commercial law matter, the stress can be difficult to deal with. Many of our clients express how daunting it is to deal with a legal issue, feel stressed over waiting for a decision, or struggle with the uncertainty of how an outcome will shape their future. We understand that this can feel emotionally exhausting, especially when a dispute or legal issue is so deeply personal.
We typically see this in cases involving divorce, child arrangements, or employment disputes, as well as cases when the client or a loved one has been seriously injured in an accident or from medical negligence. However, we also see how business disputes or civil matters can impact our clients’ everyday lives.
How We Help
At Bridge McFarland, we pride ourselves on being friendly, supportive, and approachable. We understand that these are not just legal problems, but stressful life events that deserve our care and attention beyond our legal expertise. You will not have to “keep it together” with us; we understand that emotions, fear, and frustration are all part of the process. Where possible, we will also give you the space to think and avoid rushing decisions, providing guidance throughout the process.
We Are Here to Support Our Clients
If you are facing a legal issue and you are worried how it is affecting your mental health, you are not alone, and it is natural to feel stressed, overwhelmed, or low during these times.
